60% of phone users only call and text

Six out of ten (60%) UK mobile phone users use their phone purely to call and text, found a survey by Snapin Software.

The mobile technology firm discovered that of the respondents that did use their phone for other purposes nearly one third (30%) use their camera.

Meanwhile just 12% access their email or the internet from their mobile. Blogging is even less popular as just 1% blog from their mobile phones.

Nearly 2,000 adults were polled by YouGov during December 2007.
