Microsoft launches Live Search promotion with John Lewis

Microsoft and John Lewis have launched a multi-million pound promotion to drive traffic to Live Search in the run-up to Christmas.

Microsoft is giving away John Lewis vouchers and prizes for the next 11 weeks as part of BigSnapSearch, which the company trialled earlier in the year.

BigSnapSearch is being promoted throughout the MSN network, as well as radio placements on the Absolute network and in the Metro newspaper.

Marie Thirlwall, Microsoft Live Search UK senior product manager, said, "We plan to capitalise on the peak in search traffic in the run up to Christmas with a really exciting marketing plan which will drive searches and give our advertisers the benefits of additional impressions and clicks."

BigSnapSearch has been developed by digital marketing agency Thin Martian.
