ITV.com sees video views reach 15.7m in November

Video views on ITV.com reached 15.7m in November, up 598% year-on-year, according to the latest figures from the broadcaster.

Visitors to ITV.com have viewed 69m videos viewed since its re-launch in August 2007.

The page impressions for The X Factor section are up by 267% compared to last year, with over 15m short-form video clips of TheX Factor viewed. I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! saw a 211% increase in video views compared to last year.

ITV Player, the video-on-demand catch up section of the ITV site, has also seen an increase in users, the average number of plays per month increased by 3,354% since it launched.

In order, the top three catch-up shows this year are: Coronation Street, The X Factor and Emmerdale.

Dominic Cameron, MD of ITV.com, said, "The continued success of the big entertainment shows like The X Factor and I'm A Celebrity combined with an explosion in demand for online video have helped us do well in a market place that is buzzing."

ITV.com's traffic remains behind that for the iPlayer, which received more than 35m requests to view, with an average of more than 1m requests each day in November.

According to ComScore Media Metrix, BBC sites account for 54.3% of all video on-demand provided by traditional broadcasters, followed by ITV sites with 22.7%, Channel 4 with 15.8%, Sky with 5.5% and Five.tv with 1.7%.
