LONDON - Yahoo!'s book-marking service Delicious has integrated Twitter to compile a list of the most popular web links as part of a revamp.

The What's Fresh section is designed to showcase links that are currently popular with web users by ranking them according to the number of times they have been shared by Delicious and Twitter users.

Yahoo!, the owner of Delicious, believes the new functionality will more accurately reflect what's happening on the web in real-time, as opposed to book-marking which is usually done for personal use, not sharing. The list focuses on technology, the internet, politics and media subjects.

In May Twitter announced its search function will also include links to millions of pages which it will index to create a real-time 'mini Google'.

Delicious faces strong competition from several start-ups, including Tweetmeme, which tracks the most retweeted messages on Twitter and Scoopler crawling through a number of social networks, including Twitter, Flickr, Digg, Delicious to post popular trends.

Delicious has also revamped its search tools and now allows users to email and tweet bookmarks directly from the site.
